AN ORDINANCE RELINQUISHING A CERTAIN EASEMENT FOR UTILITY
PURPOSES OVER LAND LOCATED IN INLOT 563 IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI.
WHEREAS, per Book 98, page 372, of the records of Cole
County, Missouri, a utility easement was granted to the City of
Jefferson, a municipal corporation, to build, construct, keep and
maintain a sewer under and through the lots, tracts or parcels of
land described in Section 1;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council finds that the following described
easement is surplus property of the City and is no longer needed
for any public purpose:
A part of Inlot 563, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southerly line, 7 feet westerly
of the southeasterly corner of said Inlot, thence northerly
parallel to the easterly line, 198 feet 9 inches to the
public alley, thence westerly along said alley 8 feet, thence
southerly parallel to the easterly line, 198 feet 9 inches to
the southerly line of said Inlot, thence easterly 8 feet to
the point of beginning.
Section 2. The easement described in Section 1 is hereby
relinquished, and the City does hereby release and abandon
whatever interest it has in the easement.
Section 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute any necessary legal document relinquishing all of the
City's interest in the tract of ground described in Section 1.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
