AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, ACCEPTING AND
APPROVING THE RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR A PORTION OF HOBB' S ROAD, (SECTION
IX), TOWNSHIP 44 NORTH, RANGE 12 WEST, OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON.
WHEREAS, the owner of a portion of Hobb' s Road has offered
to convey to the City for use as public roadway the land
described as follows:
Part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter
and also part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter, all in Section 9, Township 44 North, Range 12 West,
in the City of Jefferson, County of Cole, Missouri, more
particularly described as follows:
From the southwest corner of the Southeast Quarter of
the Northwest Quarter of said Section 9; thence S 040 22'
47" E, along the Quarter Quarter Section Line, 338.27 feet
to the westerly extension of the northerly line of lot 1 of
Hobbs Woods, a plat of record in Plat Book 9, Page 21, at
the Cole County Recorder's Office; thence easterly along the
westerly extension and north line of said Lot 1, N 860 24'
25" E, 240.48 feet to the northeast corner of said Lot 1 and
point of beginning of this description; thence northerly
leaving the northerly line of said Lot 1, N 000 32' 43" W,
255.60 feet; thence N 040 24' 56" W, 955.72 feet to a point
on the southerly right of way line of U.S. Hwy. 50; thence
easterly along said right of way, N 450 00' 34" E, 78.99
feet; thence southerly leaving said right of way line S 040
24' 56" E, 949.13 feet to a point on the northerly line of
Lot 1 of Gordon Forest Condominiums, a plat of record in
Plat Book 11, Page 190, at the Cole County Recorder's
Office; thence westerly along the northerly line of said Lot
11 S 850 35 ' 04" W, 12. 50 feet to the northwesterly corner
thereof; thence southerly along the westerly line of said
Lot 1, S 040 24' 56" E, 60.00 feet to the southwesterly
corner thereof., said corner also being the northwesterly
corner of a strip of land as described in Book 279, Page
372, at the Cole County Recorder' s Office; thence southerly
along the westerly line of said strip of land S 040 24' 56"
E, 1.00 feet to the southwesterly corner thereof; thence
easterly along the southerly line of said strip of land, N
850 35' 04" EE, 12.50 feet; thence southerly leaving said
strip of land S 000 32' 43" E, 255.52 feet; thence S 870 26'
14" W, 60.04 feet to the point of beginning.
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City and the
abutting residents of the area for the road to be dedicated to
the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Right-of-Way of Hobb's Road, Section II{,
Township 44 North, Range 12 West, as described above, lying,
being and situated within the corporate limits of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, is hereby approved and accepted by the
Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute any and all documents necessary to
effectuate the dedication of this road.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.
