AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
PAYMENT OF A CLAIM FOR SERVICES RENDERED BY CENTRAL MISSOURI
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES.
WHEREAS, Central Missouri Professional Services constructed a six
( 6) inch force main to serve the Rock Beacon Pump Station; and
WHEREAS, This project was built in conjunction with the gravity
sanitary sewer system which was constructed by the developer of
Forest Gate Subdivision in late 1984; and
WHEREAS, This project: was built at a cost to Central Missouri
Professional Services of $8,316. 17; and
WHEREAS, The cost of this project to the City would have been
much greater had the force main not been built at the same time
as the gravity sanitary sewer system due to the subsequent
development of the subdivision; and
WHEREAS, This project was done at the request of the City and the
performance and completion of this project was less disruptive to
the neighborhood as a result of being accomplished at the same
time as the gravity sanitary sewer system project; and
WHEREAS, The City had believed the performance would be eligible
for -reimbursement persuant to a grant, which belief turned out to
be ill founded.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS;
Section 1. That the claim of Central Missouri Professional
Services for reimbursement for the sum of $8,316.00 for services
rendered by approved by the Council.
Section 2. That the payment of $9,316. 17 for services
rendered by Central Missouri Professional Services is hereby
authorized.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.
