ORDINANCE NO._ 66 1
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING CHAPTER
17 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, BY ENACTING
THREE (3) NEW SECTIONS, TO DE KNOWN AS SECTION 17.166, SECTION
17.167 AND SECTION 17. 7.68, RELATING TO OFFENSES AGAINST THE
ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 17 of the Code of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, is hereby amended by enacting three (3) new sections,
to be known as Section 17.166, Section 17.167, and Section
17.168, to read as follows:
Section 17.166. A person commits the offense of failure to
comply with a subpoena issued by the Municipal Court, if he fails
to appear at the time and in the manner directed in the subpoena
or to do any other act required by the subpoena having been duly
served.
Section 17.167. A person commits -the offense of failure to
pay a fine assessed by the Municipal Court, if he fails to pay
such fine on or before the date on which it is due.
Section 17. 168. A parson commits the offense of failure to
appear before the Municipal Court, if he has been charged with a
violation of the municipal ordinances of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, and fails to appear before the Municipal Court at the
time and on the date on which he was summoned.
Section 2. Violations of the new Code sections enacted in
this Ordinance shall be punished in the same manner as other
sections pursuant to the provisions of Section 1-13 of the Code
of the City, of Jefferson, Missouri.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after is passage and approval.
