AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, PROVIDING FOR
THE IMPROVEMENT OF RAYMOND ROAD, FROM LEANDRA LANE TO DENISE
DRIVE, AND DENISE DRIVE, FROM SOUTH COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE TO RAYMOND
ROAD.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council passed and approved on March 2,
1987, its resolution finding and declaring the necessity of
improving Raymond Road, from Leandra Lane to Denise Drive, and
Denise Drive, from South Country Club Drive to Raymond Road, in
the City of Jefferson, Missouri, by curbing and guttering with
Portland cement concrete. That resolution has been duly
published according to law for seven (7) consecutive insertions,
in the Post-Tribune, a daily newspaper printed and published in
the City of Jefferson, Missouri. No protest against the
contemplated improvement has been filed with the City Clerk by a
majority of the resident owners of property along said sections
of the roadway liable for the costs of the improvement, and who
own a majority of the front feet along the portion of the roadway
to be improved.
Section 2. The portion of roadway described in Section 1
shall be built in accordance with the plans and specifications
submitted by the Director of Public Works and filed in the office
of the City Clerk. The cost of $7. 50 per front foot shall be
charged and levied as a special assessment against the real
estate abutting and fronting on the improvement, and special tax
bills shall be issued therefore, as provided in Chapter 33 of the
Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and the revised statutes
of the State of Missouri.
Section 3 . The Director of Public Works is hereby
instructed and authorized to advertise for bids for this
improvement.
® Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
