HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD10844 BILL NO. 87 -28 _ SPONSORED BY COUNCILMAN NELSON, HAAKE ORDINANCE N0. :� r'-1. e .� AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, LEVYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL TAX BILL AGAINST THE LOTS OR TRACTS OF LAND FRONTING AND ABUTTING BROOKS STREET IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF SAID ROADWAY. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. There is hereby levied and assessed at -the rate and cost price per front foot as specified in Section 2 of -this Ordinance, against the aggregate lots or tracts of land fronting or abutting Brooks Street in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, for the improvement of said roadway, the sum of $4, 120.22 as the total oasts of the improvement of said roadway, amounting to 840.75 front feet. Section 2. For the purpose of paying for said improvement of said roadway, there is hereby levied and assessed the sum as listed below and contained in such lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting said improved roadway: Curb & Gutter at $3.00 per foot Commercial Drive Approach at $6.00 per sq. yd. Residential Drive Approach at $6.67 per sq. yd. Drive Replacement at $8.00 per sq. yd. Sidewalk; along curb; at $2.33 per sq. yd. Sidewalk; from house to curb; at $4. 67 per sq. yd. Section 3. The name of each property owner or owners and the description of each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting on each side of said roadway and the number of front feet owned by each owner or owners and contained in the lots or tracts of land so owned and abutting said roadway and the amount hereby levied and assessed as special tax for said improvement against each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting said roadway is listed as follows: David L. Bryan and Wilda M. Bryan, husband and wife, as tenants by the entirety, owners of property described as follows: The southerly 120 feet of Lots Nos, 8 and 9 of block No. 13, Lower Jefferson Addition (sometimes calle.., Crandall 's Addition) to the City of Jefferson, Missouri, measured along the westerly boundary line of said Lot No. 8. Assessment: Curb & Gutter, 27.00 feet at $3.00 per ft. = $ 81.00 Commercial Drive Approach, 18.97 square yards at $6.00 per square yard = $113. 82 Drive Replacement, 19.00 square yards at $8.00 per square yard = $152.00 Sidewalk, 50.67 square yards at $2.33 per square yard and 30.94 square yards at $4.67 per square yard = $262.56 Total Assessment: $609.38 Dode E. Kolb, owner of property described as follows: The north part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 12, in Township 44, of Range 12 West, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the south line of Miller Street (in Jefferson City, Missouri) 11.5 feet west of the center line of Brooks Street, said point of beginning also being on the north right-of-way line of the Bagnell Branch of the Missouri Pacific Railway Company, thence running westerly along the south line of Miller Street, 171 feet to the east line of Cole I County Farmers Co-operative Company land, thence at a right angle to Miller Street in a southerly direction and along the east line of said Cole County Farmers Co-operative Company land 130 feet to the north right-of-way line of the said Ragnell Branch, thence northeasterly along and with said right-of- way line to the point of beginning. Steele, Owner of property described as follows: Part of Lots 8 and 9 in Block 13, Lower Jefferson, also known as Crandalls Addition to the City of Jeffersn, Missouri, and particularly described as follows: Beginning at the northeasterly corner of said lot 9, thence westerly along the northerly line of Lots 8 and 9 to the north= westerly corner of said Lot 8, being 140 feet, thence southerly along the westerly line of lot 8, a distance of 38 feet nine inches, thence easterly parallel with the northerly line of said Lots 8 and 9 to the westerly line of Brooks Street; thence northerly along the easterly line of Lot 9 to the place of beginning. Assessment: Curb & Gutter, 39.00 feet at $3.00 per foot = $117.00 Aft IF Residential Drive Approach, 3.00 square yards at $6.67 per square yard = $ 20.01 Sidewalk, 17.33 square yards at $2.33 per square yard and 1.49 square yards at $4.67 per square yard = $ 47.36 Section 4. That the Clay Clerk is hereby instructed to make out special tax bills in favor of the Contractor, J.C. industries, Inc. , Jefferson City, Missouri, for the above mentioned work in accordance with the ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, relative to said kind of work in accordance with the ordinance of said City in regard to said work.
