ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING
SECTIONS 2-48 REGULAR OR STANDING COMMITTEES, AND 2- 49 DUTIES OF
COMMITTEES, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, BY
THE ADDITION OF A STANDING FINANCE COMMITTEE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,' MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 2-48 Regular or standing committees,
item (a) shall be amended by adding the following:
(2) committee on finance, to be composed of all Council
members.
Section 2. Section 2-48 Regular or standing committees,
item ( d) shall be amended by adding the words "if any" as
indicated below:
(d) Should a member of any standing committee be unable to
attend a committee meeting, it shall be the
responsibility of the member of the committee to
contact his or her alternate, if any, to arrange for
the attendance of the alternate at the meeting.
Section 3. Section 2-49 Duties of Committees, shall be
amended by adding the following item:
(2) Duties of the Committee on Finance. The committee
shall consider all matters affecting the budget of the
City. The committee shall review the budget as
proposed by the Mayor prior to any action by the
Council on approval.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.
