ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, FORMALLY
ESTABLISHING AN ART FUND AS A TRUST FUND AND PROVIDING FOR A
SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION TO SAID FUND.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There is hereby established a trust fund within
the city accounts to be designated the Art Trust Fund. Said fund
shall be a revolving fund with monies credited to the fund being
retained by said fund. Expenditures from the Art Trust Fund
shall only be expended as set out in Section 2.
Section 2. Expenditures from the Art Trust Fund shall only
be made for the following purposes:
a) acquisition of works of art for display within City
buildings or upon City grounds,
b) the reproduction of original works of art for resale to
the public with the proceeds going to the Art Trust
Ask Fund.
c) the promotion of art within City facilities.
d) costs related to the appropriate display of works of
art within City buildings and upon City grounds.
_Section 3. All works of art which are currently owned by
the City are hereby constructively transferred to the credit of
the Art Trust Fund and any proceeds received from the sale or
destruction of a work of art shall be credited to the Art Trust
Fund.
Section 4. Any ordinance passed subsequent to this
ordinance appropriating money from the Art Trust Fund shall
specifically set out the items to be obtained by said
expenditure.
Section 5. The J.M. Clark Trust Fund is hereby amended by
increasing the appropriations of Account No . 84-84-327,
Transfers, by $7,053.00.
Section 6 . The Art Trust Fund is hereby amended by
increasing the estimated revenues for Account No. 85-00-392A,
Transfers, by $7,053.00.
Section 7. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.

CERTIFICATION BY MAYOR
I hereby certify that the sums appropriated in this ordinance are
available in the J. M. Clark Trust Fund to meet the requirements
of this bill.
