New Business; Election of Officers: 1. Chairman: Nominations for Chairman were David Engen and Dan Hormaechea. Mr. Engen was unanimously chosen by the Committee. 2. Vice -Chairman: Nominated was Max Williamson. Mr. Williamson was unanimously chosen. Clubhouse Site Clearing: I.L.S. Company will start clearing in coordination with Meckel Construction on the llth of October. Clubhouse Specifications Approval: The Committee agreed, after specifications have been drafted, they should be presented to the Committee and the City Council. The City Administrator will contact Mr. Laidlaw, requesting draft specifications and a review with the Committee prior to final drafting. Fundraising Activities with Signature Events: The Committee would like to see Signature Events' proposal and attendant costs. Mr. Hormaechea followed up with a motion to listen to Signature Events' ideas and costs, then draft an agreement and direct them towards the local donations. Ms. McCarty seconded, all were in favor, and the motion passed unanimously. Cart Paths: Mr. Jackson will follow up with seal coating the cart paths on an experimental basis. 1 #9 Pond: The Committee agreed that the pond to be constructed in front of #9 green should cover no more than 50-60% of the approved area, and should be no closer than 40-50 feet from the front edge of the green. Direction of Play: With the construction of the new clubhouse, there will be a requirement to change the direction of play. With a suggestion from Mr. Dripps, the holes could be re-routed in the direction outlined below: Front Side Existing: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 New Route: 5 6 13 14 15 16 17 3 4 Back Side Existing: 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 New Route: 7 8 9 1 2 18 10 11 12 The Committee will participate in a field inspection of the golf course on October 16th with Superintendent Jackson. Committee members will share their views as to the need for improvements, cultural practices, etc. The meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m. The next meeting will be on November 14th at 7:00 p.m. in City Hall.
