HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD10974 BILL NO. 87-167 SPONSORED BY COUNCILMAN BORGMEYER, WOODMAN ORDINANCE NO. /01? 7� AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, LEVYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL TAX BILL AGAINST THE LOTS OR TRACTS OF LAND FRONTING AND ABUTTING RAYMOND ROAD AND DENISE DRIVE IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF SAID ROADWAY. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. There is hereby levied and assessed at the rate and cost price per front foot as specified in Section 2 of this Ordinance, against the aggregate lots or tracts of land fronting or abutting Raymond Road and Denise Drive in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, for the improvement of said roadway, the sum of $16,893. 75 as the total costs of the improvement of said roadway, amounting to 2,252.50 front feet; the cost price per front foot is $7.50 per front foot on property which had no existing curb and gutters. Section 2. For the purpose of paying said improvement of said roadway, there is hereby levied and assessed the sum of $7.50 as a special tax against each frond: foot of ground fronting or abutting said roadway, and contained in such lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting said improved roadway. Section 3. The name of each property owner or owners and the description of each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting on each side of said roadway and the number of front feet owned by each owner or owners and contained in the lots or tracts of land so owned and abutting said roadway and the cost price per foot for said improvement and the amount hereby levied and assessed as special tax for said improvement against each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting said roadway is listed as follows: Opal T. Shreves, a single person; Owner of property described as follows: Lot Number 15 of Chula Vista Hills, per plat of record in Plat Book 5, page 51, Cole County Recorder's Office; said Chula Vista Hills being a subdivision of part of the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 17, Township 44, Range 12. Assessment: 35 feet at $7.50 per foot = $262.50 • Aldridge Clark Link and Cora Evelyn Link, husband and wife; Owners of property described as follows: Lot Number 14 of Chula Vista Hills, per plat of record in Plat Book 5, page 51, Cole County Recorder's Office; said Chula Vista Hills being a subdivision of part of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 17, Township 44, Range 12. Assessment: 100 feet at $7. 50 per foot = $750.00 Edward A. Shoemake and Patricia L. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to make out special tax bills in favor of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, for the above mentioned work in accordance with the ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, relative to said kind of work in accordance with the Ordinance of said City in regard to said work.
