AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, RELINQUISHING A
CERTAIN EASEMENT FOR UTILITY PURPOSES OVER LAND LOCATED IN
WESTWOODRIDGE SUBDIVISION, SECTION 7, IN JEFFERSON CITY,
MISSOURI.
WHEREAS, by an easement dated June 30, 1986, and recorded in
Plat Book 11, Page 176, of the Records of Cole County, Missouri,
a utility easement was granted to the City of Jefferson, a
Municipal Corporation, to excavate within, install, construct,
maintain and repair structures for the routing and conveyance of
utilities in, under and through the lots, tracts or parcels of
land described in Section 1;
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council finds that the following described
easement is surplus property of the City and is no longer needed
for any public purpose:
All of utility easements shown on Lot No. 158, Westwoodridge
Subdivision, Section 7, per plat of record in Plat Book 11,
Page 294, Cole County Recorder's office; EXCEPT the 10 foot
strip adjacent to all lot lines.
Section 2. The easement described in Section 1 is hereby
relinquished, and the City does hereby release and abandon
whatever interest it has in the easement.
Section 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to execute any necessary legal document relinquishing all of the
City's Interest in the tract of ground described in Section 1.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
