AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN
URBAN AGREEMENT WITH THE MISSOURI HIGHWAY AND
TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION AS IT PERTAINS TO EASTLAND
DRIVE/HIGHWAY 50-63 INTERCHANGE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute an Urban Agreement with the Missouri Highway
and Transportation Commission as it pertains to Eastland
Drive/Highway 50-63 Interchange.
Section 2. The agreement shall be substantially the same in
form and content as that agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.

Eastland Drive Interchange
AGREEMENT
This Agreement , made and entered into by and between
the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission hereinafter
called "Commission" and the City of Jefferson, a municipal
corporation in the state of Missouri , hereinafter called "City, "
WITNESSETH:
Commission and City agree that the proposed interchange
at Eastland Drive is important to the safe and efficient handling
of future traffic at that location and that right-of-way
acquisition and construction should proceed as rapidly as funding
® will permit.
The City desires to accelerate the acquisition of
right-of-way and construction.
In consideration of the mutual covenants contained
herein to be faithfully kept and performed by the parties hereto,
it is agreed as follows:
1. City agrees that $500,000.00 of the Federal Aid
Urban ( FAU) funds allocated to City under the Federal Aid Highway
Act of 1987 may be used by Commission for the acquisition of
right-of-way or construction of the proposed interchange at
Eastland Drive.
2. Commission agrees that these funds will be used
only for this purpose.

3. City understands that the construction of the
Oproposed interchange at - Eastland Drive is subject to the
availability of federal and state funds.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this
agreement to be executed by their respective proper officials,
and the City executes same pursuant to Ordinance No.
