HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD11011 ® BILL NO. 87-204 SPONSORED BY COUNCILMAN BARNICLE ORDINANCE NO. -//O// AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE PLAT OF CHULA VISTA HILLS SUBDIVISION - SECTION 2 , A SUBDIVISION OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON. WHEREAS, Archie F. McDaniel and Carolyn S. McDaniel, owners of the real estate hereinafter described, having submitted to the City Council a plat of said real estate, being located in Jefferson City, Cole County, Missouri, and more particularly described as follows : Part of the South Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 17 , Township 44 North, Range 12 West, Cole County, Missouri, being more particularly described as follows : From the southwest corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 17; thence N 840 47 ' 00" E along the Quarter Section Line, 1016. 65 feet; ® thence N 000 14 ' 00" E, 152 . 66 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 39 of Chula Vista Hills Subdivision, as per plat of record in Plat Book 5, Page 51 , Cole County Recorder' s Office, and the point of beginning for this description; thence N 000 14 ' 00" E, along the easterly line of said Lot 39 , 200. 90 feet to the southerly line of Leandra Lane; thence N 850 03 ' 16" E, along the southerly line of Leandra Lane, 787 . 61 feet to the westerly line of Fairgrounds Road; thence S 180 39 ' 00" W, along the westerly line of Fairgrounds Road, 214 .63 feet to the north line of a tract of land described in Book 127, Page 313, Cole County Recorder' s Office; thence S 84° 47 ' 00" W, along the northerly line of said tract , 719.83 feet to the point of beginning. Containing in all, 3.43 acres . WHEREAS, it appearing that said plat has been duly and properly signed and accepted by the owners of said subdivision, known and referred to as Chula Vista Hills Subdivision - Section 2, that all taxes have been paid, and that in all respects the requirements of Chapter 445 , RSMo, entitled "Plats" have been fully complied with by the owner of said subdivision, and that in all respects the requirements of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, relating to plats and subdivisions have been complied with. -2- NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The plat of Chula Vista Hills Subdivision - Section 2, lying, being and situated within the corporate limits of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as shown by the said plat attached hereto and made a part of this ordinance, is hereby approved and accepted by the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri. SECTION 2 . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to endorse acceptance of said plat hereon and to certify the approval of said plat under the seal of the City of Jefferson. Clerk SUBDIVISION STAFF REPORT RE: A request filed by Central Missouri Professional Services on behalf of Archie F. and Carolyn S. McDaniel for approval of a preliminary plat and a final plat of Chula Vista Hills Subdivision, Section 2 . This subdivision is located on the south side of Leandra . Lane and the west side of Fairgrounds Road. Seven lots have 80 foot frontages on Leandra Lane and two lots with frontages of 107 feet (more or less ) face onto Fairgrounds Road. The lots fronting on Leandra Lane are in an RS-2 ( single family) district; those on Fairgrounds Road are zoned PUD ( Planned Unit Development ) . The Planning and Zoning Commission, on March 10, 1988, recommended by unanimous vote that the preliminary and final plat of Chula Vista Hills Subdivision be approved subject to the ® installation of curb and gutter with the requirement for curb and gutter being subject to review by the City Counselor. Leandra Lane and Fairgrounds Road are paved streets. Neither street has curb and gutter.
