MINUTES
November 14, 1989
7:30 p.m., McCall City Hall

Minutes from the previous meeting were approved as written.
New Business:
A new contractor has been chosen to construct the
driving range for the Golf Foundation. Steve Riles,
owner of Hillside Nursery in Boise, attended the meeting
to discuss his plan for construction and field any
questions of concern by Committee members.
Steve discussed immediate plans to start rough grading
along with the construction of the driving range tee.
The driving range tee will be approximately 16,000 sq.
ft.; an adequate area to tee from.
Within two weeks, a well will be drilled to supply ample
water to irrigate total acreage.
Next spring, fine grading irrigation installation, and
the sodding and seeding of the driving range will be
completed.
Clubhouse:
Mr. Laidlaw discussed with the Committee the
construction of the clubhouse foundation. He outlined
the steps and procedures already completed and those
that are in the final stages.

Mr. Laidlaw suggested that he draw up a draft of the
clubhouse construction plans including detailed
descriptions of materials and interior floor plan.
These plans will be reviewed with the Committee at
either the December or January meeting.
Men's Association Tree Planting:
The Men's Association donated 100 tamarack seedlings to
the course. They were transplanted in timely fashion
following their dormancy.
Association members present were Charlie Roberts, Homer
Davies, and Bill Burgess. Their efforts were greatly
appreciated by Craig and his crew.
Mr. Williamson made a motion to direct Chairman Engen to
send a letter to the Men's Association in appreciation.
Mr. Hormaechea seconded, all were in favor and the
motion passed unanimously.
Clubhouse Area Restructuring of Drainage. Tees. and Putting
Green:
With the construction of a new clubhouse, those tees
adjacent to the clubhouse site will have to be
reconstructed. A putting green will also be constructed
at this time (detailed drawing attached).
Mr. Hormaechea moved to adopt the configuration
directing Superintendent Jackson to construct the needed
improvements consisting of: putting green or greens,
tee reshaping, irrigation re-routing, and a path to the
driving range tee. Mr. Engen seconded, all were in
favor and the motion passed unanimously.
Project List:
A list of possible future projects was compiled
following the concerns of the Golf Course Committee as
well as input from Mr. Dripps (list attached). These
improvements will be discussed further in order to set
priorities. Other projects in progress are: the
reshaping of the apron around #2 green, pond
construction in front of #9 green, and reconstruction of
tees and putting green at new clubhouse site.

Without further discussion, the meeting adjourned at 9:00
p.m. The next meeting will be December 12, 1989.
