AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH ROBINSON'S
CLEANING FOR THE CLEANING OF UNIFORMS FOR ALL DEPARTMENTS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute an agreement with Robinson's Cleaning for the
cleaning of uniforms for all Departments for a sum not to exceed
$7, 590.00.
Section 2. The agreement shall be substantially the same in
form and content as that agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.

to CONTRACT FOR CLEANING EMPLOYEE UNIFORMS
ThzLs contract is made and entered into this z _ day of
1988, by and between the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
a un ipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "City", and
Robinson' s Cleaners, hereinafter referred to as "Contractor" .
In consideration of the covenants and agreements hereinafter set
forth, it is agreed as follows:
1. This contract will be in effect from July 21, 1988, through
July 20, 1989. Upon mutual agreement of the parties, this contract
may be extended for two additional one year periods.
2. The Contractor will provide cleaning services for the City's
employees' uniforms in accordance with the following
specifications:
a. Police Department uniforms, 401 Monroe Street
(1) Service will be provided three times per week with
pick up at the Police Station, 401 Monroe Street.
(2) Clothes to be delivered on a rack with hangers.
(3) Emergency pick-up will be provided.
(4) Uniforms will be given military pleats.
(5) Uniforms to be returned within two working days
Aft after pick-up.
b. Planning & Code Enforcement (Animal Control Division) ,
919 East Miller Street
( 1) Employees will bring clothing to Contractor's place
of business, and will pick up clothing at place of
business.
(2) Clothes to be available within two working days
after employee leaves them with contractor.
C. Department of Transportation (Parking Division) , 201
Madison Street.
(1) Service will be provided two times per week with
pick-up at 201 Madison Street.
(2) Clothes to be returned within two working days after
pick-up.
(3) Uniforms will be given military pleats.
d. Transit Division, 820 East Miller Street.
( 1) Service will be provided two times per week with
pick-up at 201 Madison Street.
( 2) Clothes to be returned within two working days after
pick-up.
3. City will provide identification on clothing when it is picked
up at City' s buildings.
4. Contractor will be responsible for any damages to uniforms
through negligence on its part.

5. Contractor will pick up and reclean clothing which appears to
have not been cleaned and pressed, at cost of contractor.
6. Contractor will provide prompt, efficient service.
7. City will pay contractor for the services rendered by
Contractor under the terms of this contract in accordance with the
following schedule:
Shorts (long and short sleeve) $1.00 each
Trousers $1.00 each
Jackets $2.25 each
Ties $ .50 each
Caps $1.00 each
Sewing buttons Free
Sewing tears and rips $.75 per inch
8. Contractor will submit an invoice or statement monthly with
all charges listed by department. Total numbers of shirts, pants,
etc. , will be listed on the statement by department. Invoice is
to be submitted to the Finance Department, 320 East McCarty Street,
Jefferson City, Missouri 65101.
9. In the event the City determines that the Contractor is not
performing satisfactorily for any reason or reasons it deems
qW appropriate, the City reserves the right to terminate the contract
prior to the contract expiration date by giving thirty (30) days
written notice.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have hereunto set their hands and
seals on the day first above written.
