Home My Public Portal AboutORD11054 BILL NO. 88-22 SPONSORED BY COUNCILMAN HALSEY ORDINANCE NO. //O5'-V AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, DECLARING CERTAIN PROPERTY TO BE SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF SAID PROPERTY. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council finds that certain property in the custody of the various City departments and described in Exhibit A attached hereto is surplus property, and as such represents a burdensome cost for storage and maintenance, and that the property is no longer needed for any public purpose. Section 2. The Finance Department is hereby authorized to request permission from the State of Missouri Purchasing Department to place surplus items described in Exhibit A for sale in Surplus Property sale to be conducted on June 22, 1988. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and affect from and after its passage and approval. If there are items that your department needs they must be indicated and returned by noon on Thursday, June 9, 1988 in order to be removed from the sale. If there are additions to this list contact Purchasing immediately so that they can be added to the sale. It has been decided that the City will participate in the State surplus property sale to be held on June 22, 1988. The City will not hold its own sale. The State will not sell any item carrying a property tag. All property tags must be removed and sent to the Finance Department before transporting equipment etc. to the sale site.
