AWARDING BID FOR WATERFRONT PART{
LANDSCAPING MAINTENANCE; PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Borough ties publicly advertised for the receipt of bids for the Waterfront Park
Landscaping Maintenance Program on behalf of the Carteret Port Authority; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has solicited and received one (1) bid proposals for the Waterfront
Park Landscaping Maintenance Program:
Total Amount
1. Greenleaf Landscaping Systems & Services $ 24.745.00
WHEREAS, Greenleaf Landscaping Systems & Services, has submitted the lowest bid for said
contract as evidenced by the response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department and with
the Borough Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals and has recommended
the award of a contract to Greenleaf Landscape Systems & Services, in a total amount not to
exceed $24,745.00; mid
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said
purpose. Acct. # T- 75 -56- 890 -201
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a
contract with Greenleaf Landscape Systems & Services, Inc., of Eatontown, N.J.
for the Waterfront Park Landscaping Maintenance Program for the sum of
$24,745.00 in accordance in all respects with the request for proposals and bid on
same.
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department and Borough Engineer and the Carteret Port Authority.
3. That the aforementioned award of bid is contingent upon formal approval from
the New Jersey Department of La4or, Division of Wage and Hour Compliance.
