AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT TO PURCHASE REAL
ESTATE FOR THE WIDENING OF CEDAR STREET.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, are hereby authorized to purchase the real estate
hereinafter described for the said purpose of widening Cedar
Street. The cost of this property should not exceed Two Thousand
Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($2,750.00) . The property to be
purchased is described as follows:
The northeasterly part of Inlot No. 826 in the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, and more particularly described as:
Beginning at the northeasterly corner of said Inlot;
thence running southerly with the easterly line of said
Inlot along Monroe Street 40 feet 4 1/2 inches; thence
® westerly parallel with the northerly line of said Inlot
54 feet; thence northerly parallel with Monroe Street 40
feet 4 1/2 inches to the City alley; thence easterly
along said alley 54 feet to the place of beginning.
Section 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are further authorized
to execute any and all documents necessary to the transaction.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.
