AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI VACATING AND DISCONTIN- UING AS A PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE PART OF A .PUBLIC ALLEY IN SAID CITY AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND THE CLERK OF THE CITY TO EXECUTE ALL WRITTEN INSTRUMENTS REQUIRED TO CONFIRM IN THE OWNERS OF THE ADJACENT LAND THEIR REVERSIONARY RIGHTS IN THE VACATED RIGHT OF WAY. WHEREAS, it has been shown to the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, that the owners of all land that abuts on a public alley that is described hereinafter in Section 1 of this ordinance has petitioned the City Council to discontinue as a right of way for a public thoroughfare and vacate said alley, and WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not inconvenience the public or the citizens of the city to discontinue as a right of way for a .public thoroughfare and vacate the public alley desdribed in Section l .of this ordinance, now therefore: BE IT ORDAINED .BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS .FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri .hereby declares it necessary, reasonable and proper to discontinue as a right of way.for a public thoroughfare and forever vacate the following described portion of a public alley in said city: "All of that portion of the twenty (20) foot north-south public alley that lies east and adjacent to, and between the easterly extensions of the north and south lines of, .Lot 10 in Block 1 in Wolff's Subdivision as per plat of record in Book 3 at Page 22, Recorder's Office, Cole County, Missouri. Section 2. The statutory right of reversion in the owner of the abuting property to that portion of the public alley above described, as provided by the laws of the State of Missouri, is hereby expressly confirmed, and the Mayor and Clerk of the city are hereby authorized and directed to execute all written instruments required to .confirm in the abuting property owner its reversionary rights in the land hereinabove described and hereby vacated.
