AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING, AMENDING AND
MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS INCOR-
PORATED INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880, BY REZONING CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY
DESCRIBED LAND FROM DISTRICT "A-1" SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE CLASSIFICATION
AND DISTRICT "E" LOCAL COMMERCIAL CLASSIFICATION TO DISTRICT "F" HIGHWAY
COMMERCIAL CLASSIFICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, was
petitioned in writing to rezone certain described land from District
"A-1" Classification to a District "F" Classification, and
WHEREAS, the City Council did refer the petition to the City Planning
and Zoning Commission for its consideration, study and recommendation, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission, after hearing,
study and consideration, by its report to the City Council recommended
that .the land hereinafter described should be rezoned in the manner here-
inafter stated, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, by
and through its City Clerk has caused a notice of hearing for the purpose
of rezoning to be published three consecutive days in a newspaper of
general circulation within the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the last day
of publication having been more than fifteen days preceding the date of
AMR the .hearing by the City Council, wherein such notice of rezoning all in-
terested parties were requested to appear before the City Council at the
time and place specified therein for the purpose of attending a public
hearing and expressing their views. in support of or in opposition to the
recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and
WHEREAS, on this 18th day of March, 1968 the City Council of the
City of .Jefferson, Missouri, has conducted said hearing and heard the
views of all persons expressing an interest in the rezoning of the land
hereinafter described.
NOW,. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The zoning map of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as
incorporated into Ordinance 5880, as amended, of said city, is hereby
changed, amended and modified to reflect the rezoning of the following
described property from District "A-1" Single Family Residence Classi-
fication and District "E" Local Commercial Classification to District
'T' Highway Commercial Classification, and the following described land
is hereby accordingly rezoned:
"All land in the City of Jefferson, Missouri
bounded on the north by U. S. Highway 50, on the
west by the west city limits line, on the south
by the south city limits line, and on the east by
h.. ' the east line of the west 1/2 of Section 10,
Township 44 North, Range 12 West."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.
