Brewster Cultural Council 2198 Main St., Brewster, MA 02631 culturalcouncilmeetin,,brewster-max,: ov (508) 896-3701 Meeting Minutes April 10, 2023 Brewster Cultural Council: Clare O'Connor Rice, Chair; Richard O. Perry, Secretary; Girard Healy, Treasurer; Members -at -large, Dave lannitelli, Rebecca Alvin, Jan Crocker, and Eric Bohn Clare O'Connor -Rice called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm. Members present: Clare O'Connor -Rice, Girard Healy, Dave lannitelli, Richard Perry and and Jan Crocker attended in person. Minutes of the March 13, 2023 meeting were approved. Treasurer Girard Healy said there was no change in the Council's finances since the last meeting. Patricia Hess on behalf of the Brewster Historical Commission gave more information concerning the photographing of the paintings of Mary Aikens presently stored in the former home of the Aikens on Stony Brook Road. The Council offered continued support for the project Clare confirmed the receipt of the $2,500 grant which must be spent by the end of June, 2023 and the $7,000 grant must be spent by 12/31/23. Discussions of the 4/22 Earth Day Pollinator Party, 6/2 Beyond the Bounds dance program at Drummer Boy Park, the 5/13 dance event at the boat house on the Sea Camp property - a movement festival by Dave lannitelli, and the 7/9 Conservation Day with Council Booth on the theme Natural Habitats and Kemp tombstones. Gerry reported th6 draft survey is ready. Gerry and Jan are working on the council's portion of town website which should be ready this Fall. A special meeting will be set up by Clare to vote on funding the dance 5/13 event. Dave will prepare a budget.lor that meeting and will obtain clearance from conflict of interest issues.
