AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI CHANGING, AMEND-
ING AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS INCORPORATED INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880, BY REZONING
CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED LAND FROM DISTRICT "A-1" SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENCE CLASSIFICATION TO DISTRICT "D" MULTIPLE DWELLING
CLASSIFICATION.
`b WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, was
petitioned in writing to rezone land hereinafter described from its present
District "A-1" Classification to District "D" Classification, and

WHEREAS, the City Council referred the petition to the City Planning
s* & Zoning Commission for its consideration, study and recommendation, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning & Zoning Commission, after hearing,
study and consideration, by its report to the City Council, recommended
that the land mentioned in its report, and hereinafter described in this ordinance,
should be rezoned, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, by
its City Clerk, has caused a notice of hearing of rezoning to be published
three consecutive days in a newspaper of general circulation within the City
of Jefferson, Missouri, the last day of publication having been more than
fifteen days preceding the date of the hearing by the City Council, by which
all interested parties were invited to appear before the City Council at the
+.; time and place specified in the notice and be heard in support of, or in
opposition to, the recommendatirn of the Planning & Zoning Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
conducted said hearing and heard the views of all persons expressing an
interest in the rezoning of the land hereinafter described, on the 16th day
of April, 1968.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The zoning map of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as
incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880, as amended, of said city, is
hereby changed, amended and modified to reflect the rezoning of the follow-
ing described property from District "A-1" single Family Residence Classifi-

cation to District "D" Multiple Dwelling Classification, and the following
described property is, and it is hereby, rezoned accordingly:

"A tract of land in the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
containing approximately 7.5 acres of land, more
particularly described as follows:
"Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 24 of
Swift and Thompson°s Subdivision in said city,
as same appears of record in Book / at Page 9,
Cole County Recorder's Office; thence easterly
5.04 chains; thence southerly 14.65 chains;
thence westerly 5.04 chains; thence northerly
14.65 chains to the point of beginning. "
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.
