AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REGULATING THE OPERATION
OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE ROADWAYS OF THE CITY AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR
VIOLATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Stop Sign. The driver of a vehicle moving in a westerly
direction on Industrial Drive shall stop the vehicle before entering the
intersection of Industrial Drive with North Ten Mile Drive and Missouri
Highway No. 179 and then proceed cautiously yielding the right of way to
any pedestrian within any crosswalk at the intersection or to any vehicle
in the intersection or approaching so closely thereto as to constitute an
immediate hazard.
Section 2. Stop Sian. The driver of a vehicle moving in a southerly
direction on Missouri Highway No. 179 shall stop the vehicle before entering
the intersection of Missouri Highway No. 179 with North Ten Mile Drive and
Industrial Drive and then proceed cautiously yielding the right of way to
any pedestrian within any crosswalk at the intersection or to ary vehicle in
the intersection or approaching so closely thereto as to constitute an
immediate hazard..
Section 3. Misdemeanor. Any person violating the provisions of Sec-
tions 1 or 2 of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than $100.00.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
