ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND
DISCONTINUING FOR PUBLIC USE CERTAIN LAND IN THE CITY FOR STREET
PURPOSES, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND THE CLERK
OF THE CITY TO EXECUTE ALL INSTRUMENTS REQUIRED TO CONFIRM IN
THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS THEIR REVERSIONARY RIGHTS IN THE
VACATED RIGHT OF WAY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, hereby declares that it is necessary and in the public
interest that the following land be discontinued for public use

as street right of way, subject to an easement reserved fo r all
existing utilities:
"A portion of Marshall Street between Ashley and Dunklin
Streets being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Marshall and Ashley
Streets, proceed northerly along the westerly line of
Marshall Street a distance of 389.56 feet; thence south-
erly across Marshall Street along a circular curve (whose
center lies 843.51 feet easterly) a distance of 192.01
feet to the point of tangency; thence continuing across
Marshall Street a distance of 78.0 feet to the easterly
line of Marshall Street; thence southerly along aforesaid
line a distance of 127 .0 feet to the northerly line of
Ashley Street (between Maple and Marshall Streets)
extended; thence westerly along the aforesaid line a
distance of 56.25 feet to the point of beginning.
ALSO, Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot No. 55 of
the Little & Keyes Subdivision of Outlots 15 and 16,
proceed westerly along the southerly line of Dunklin
Street extended a distance of 8.15 feet; thence southerly
parallel to the easterly Right-of-way of Marshall Street
6.0 feet to the point of curvature; thence along a
circular curve to the left (the center of which lies
easterly and normal to the aforesaid line a distance of
793.51 feet) a distance of 113. 7 feet; thence northerly
along the westerly line of Lots 58 through 55 a distance
of 119.4 feet to the point of beginning.
Section 2. It is hereby declared that the street right of
way described hereinabove be, and it is hereby, vacated and
forever discontinued as a right of way for street purposes,
' subject to an easement reserved for all existing utilities .

Section 3. The statutory right of reversion in the
owners of the abutting property in said vacated right of way,
as is provided by the Laws of Missouri, is hereby fully con-
firmed and the Mayor and the Clerk of the City are hereby
directed to execute any instrument, for and in behalf of the
City, that may be required by law to confirm in the abutting
property owners , their right of reversion in the right of
way hereinabove vacated.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and of er its passage and approval.
