RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FAIR AND OPEN
CONTRACT FOR HAYWARD AVENUE SANITARY SEWER
PUMP STATION COMMINUTOR REPLACEMENT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has a need for specialized services with regard to
replacement of the Hayward Avenue Sanitary Sewer Pump Station Comminutor as a hir
and open contract pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A, 19:44A -20.5 et seq; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has, through a "fair and open' process, solicited quotes for the
receipt of proposals; and
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret retained the services of Rapid Pump & Meter
Service Co., Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the above mentioned vendor completed and submitted all required
documentation; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret authorizes the Finance Department on behalf of the Mayor and Borough
Council to issue and execute a purchase order for the foregoing to the above vendor
through the Fair and Open Process, with funds certified available b'y the Chief Financial
Officer;.and
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the CFO has been authorized to arrange to pay for
foregoing in accordance with the terms of the purchase order not to exceed $1,790,00.
