N ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REGULATING THE
PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE ROADWAYS OF THE CITY, PRESCRIBING
PRESUMPTION, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
ISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Parking Vehicles Prohibited. The driver of a
otor vehicle shall not park it, for longer than two (2) hours,
between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. , on any day except
Sunday or a legal holiday, at any point on McCarty Street between
Bolivar Street and Clay Street.
Section 2. Presumption to Aptly. In any prosecution for a
violation of any provision of Section 1 hereof, proof that the
vehicle described in the complaint was parked in violation of any o
the provisions of Section 1, together with proof that the defendant
amed in the complaint was at the time of such parking the owner of
the vehicle, shall constitute in evidence a prima facie presumption
that the owner of the vehicle was the person who parked the vehicle
at the point where, and at the time during which, such violation
ccurred.
Section 3. Penalty. Any person violating any of the provi-
ions of Section 1 hereof shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,

nd upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than one
undred ($100.00) dollars or be imprisoned not more than ninety
(90) days or incur both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect
nd be in force from and after its passage and approval.
