ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING, AMENDING
AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
INCORPORATED INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880, BY REZONING CERTAIN SPECI-
FICALLY DESCRIBED LAND FROM DISTRICT "A-1" SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE
CLASSIFICATION TO DISTRICT "C" MULTIPLE DWELLING CLASSIFICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
was petitioned in writing to rezone land hereinafter described from
its present District "A-1" Classification to District "C" Classifi-
cation, and
WHEREAS, the City Council referred the petition to the City*
Planning & Zoning Commission for its consideration, study and
recommendation, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning & Zoning Commission, after hearing,
study and consideration, by its report to the City Council,
recommended that the land mentioned in its report, and hereinafter
described in this ordinance, should be rezoned, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
by its City Clerk, has caused a notice of hearing of rezoning to be
published three consecutive days in a newspaper of general circula-
tion within the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the last day of
publication having been more than fifteen (15) days preceding the
date of the hearing by the City Council, by which all interested
parties were invited to appear before the City Council at the time
land place specified in the notice and be heard in support of, or in

opposition to, the recommendation of the Planning & Zoning Commis-
sion, and
' WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, f
conducted said hearing and heard the views of all persons expressing
an interest in the rezoning of the land hereinafter described, on
the 19th day of August, 1968.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The zoning map of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
as incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880, as amended, of said
city, is hereby changed, amended and modified to reflect the
rezoning of the following described property from District "A-1"
Single Family Residence Classification to District "C" Multiple
Dwelling Classification, and the following described property is,
and it is hereby, rezoned accordingly:
"Beginning at the intersection of the west right-of-way
line of Tanner Bridge Road and the northerly right-of-
way line of Ellis Boulevard; thence northerly along the
west right-of-way line of Tanner Bridge Road 730 feet,
more or less ; thence westerly 547 feet, more or less,
to the Leonard Fischer property; thence southerly 635
feet, more or less, along the Leonard Fischer property
line to the northerly right-of-way line of Ellis
Boulevard; thence easterly along said right-of-way line
200 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
