AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING, AMENDING
AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
INCORPORATED INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880, BY REZONING A CERTAIN
SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED LAND FROM A DISTRICT "A-1" SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL CLASSIFICATION TO "F" HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL CLASSIFICATION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
was petitioned in writing to rezone land hereinafter described from
its present District "A-1" Single Family Residential Classification,
and any other District Classification other than District "F"
Highway Commercial Classification, to District "F" Highway
commercial, and
WHEREAS, the City Council did refer said petition for rezoning
to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its consideration,
hearing and recommendation, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission, after
hearing, study and consideration, did recommend to the City Council
that the land hereinafter described be rezoned as hereinafter
rovided, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
by and through its City Clerk,- has caused a notice of hearing for

he purpose of rezoning to be published three consecutive days in a
ewspaper of general circulation within the City of Jefferson,
issouri, the last day of publication having been more than fifteen
lays preceding the date of the hearing by the City Council, wherein
such notice of rezoning all interested parties were requested to
appear before the City Council at the time and place specified
therein for the purpose of attending a public hearing and expressing
heir views in support of or in opposition to the recommendation of
he Planning and Zoning Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
n the 16th day of September, 1968, conducted said hearing and hear
he views of all persons expressing an interest in the rezoning of
he land hereinafter described.
OW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY 7HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The zoning map of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
as incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880, as amended, of said
city, is hereby changed, amended and modified to reflect the
rezoning of the following described property from its present
District "A-1" Single Family Residential Classification, and any
other Zoning Classification other than District "F" Highway
Commercial Classification, to District "F" Highway Commercial
Classification, and the following described property is, and it is
hereby rezoned accordingly:
"All land in the city lying west of Dix Road, south of
U.S.Highway 50 (Whitton Expressway) , north of St. Mary' s
Boulevard and Business U.S.Highway 50 (Dunklin Boulevard)
and east of the junction of U.S.Highway 50 (Whitton
Expressway) with Business U.S.Highway 50 (Dunklin it Boulevard) .
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
