ORDINANCE N0. 90 C.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING THE
NAMES OF CERTAIN STREETS, AVENUES, AND/OR ROADWAYS WITHIN THE CITY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
adopted a resolution on the 19th day of August, 1968, declaring it
necessary to change the names of streets herein listed as follows:
1) Allen Road (from Tomlee Road extending to Highway 50
West right-of-way) propose change to Kenborg Hill;

�a) North Ten Mile Drive (from present West Main :street
extending westerly -to Route 179) propose change to
West Main Street;

Hough Park Road (from present Ellis Blvd. extending
easterly to Hough Park Street) propose change to Ellis
Blvd. ;Dawson Lane (from present Karen Drive extending easterly
to the dead end) propose change to Karen Drive;
a Gene Marlin Drive (from Allen Drive extending northerly
to the dead end) propose change to Allen Circle;
Connection of Capitol Avenue extending to Riverside
Drive (presently assumed to be Capitol Avenue) propose
change to Riviera Street;

Business Route 50 & 63 East (from East McCarty and East
High Streets extending to the easterly City Limits)
propose change to East McCarty Street;
I ) Route 179 (from North Ten Mile Drive extending to the
northerly City Limits) propose change to Rock Hill Road;

Route "C" (from Jefferson Street extending to the
southerly City Limits) propose change to Southridge
Drive;

14) A short un-named road off the Rex M. Whitton Expressway
in the vicinity of Expressview Drive propose change to
Schott Hill Drive;

35) Business Highway 50 West (from West McCarty Street
extending to the South Ten Mile Drive intersection)
propose change to Missouri Blvd. (Portions of this
route are presently referred to as Harrison Street,
West Dunklin Blvd. and Highway 50 West.)

WHEREAS, said resolution was published for seven (7) con-
secutive days in the Jefferson City Post Tribune, and
WHEREAS, within four (4) weeks from the day of the last
publication of said resolution, a majority of the resident
property owners along that portion of each street described above
did not file with the City Clerk their written protest against
such change of name, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has, by ordinance, the power to
change the names of such streets in accordance with the resolution
referred to herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION -1. Change the name of Allen Road (from Tomlee Road
to Highway 50 West right-of-way) to Kenborg Hill.

SECTION fb`. Change the name of North Ten Mile Drive (from
present West Main Street extending westerly to Route 179) to West
Main Street.

Ellis Blvd. extending easterly to Hough Park Street) to Ellis Blvd
SECTION Change the name of Dawson Lane (from present Karen
Drive extending easterly to the dead 'end) to Karen Drive.

Avenue extending to Riverside Drive (presently assumed to be
Capitol Avenue) to Riviera Street.
SECTION A. Change the name of Business Route 50 & 63 East
(from East McCarty and East High Streets extending to the easterly
City Limits) to East McCarty Street.
SECTION . Change the name of Route 179 (from North Ten Mile
Drive extending to the northerly City Limits) to Rock Hill Road.

Street extending to the southerly City Limits) to Southridge Drive

SECTION 15. Change the name of Business Highway 50 West (from
West McCarty Street extending to the South Ten Mile Drive inter-
section) to Missouri Blvd. (Portions of this route are presently
referred to as Harrison Street, West Dunklin Blvd. and Highway 50
West)
SECTION ;. Upon the passage and approval of this ordinance,
the City Clerk shall file a certified copy of this ordinance with
the Recorder of Deeds of Cole County, Missouri.

SECTION A. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after December 31, 1968.
