AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REGULATING THE
OPERATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE ROADWAYS OF THE CITY AND
PROVIDING A PENALTY, AND REPEALING PARAGRAPH (340) OF SECTION 6.240
OF ARTICLE VI OF ORDINANCE NO. 8025.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Through Traffic Prohibited. The driver of any
truck or tractor licensed by the State of Missouri for a gross
weight in excess of twelve thousand (12,000) pounds shall not drive
the same on Fulkerson Street, at any point between Main Street and
McCarty Street, unless the movement of the vehicle originates at or
is destined to a point on Fulkerson Street located between Main
Street and McCarty Street.
Section 2. Penalty Clause. Any person violating Section 1 of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon
conviction thereof, shall be fined not more than $100.00 or be
imprisoned not more than 90 days, or incur both such fine and
imprisonment.
Section 3. Repeal Clause. Paragraph (340) of Section 6.240
of Article VI of Ordinance Number 8025, limiting the use of Fulker-
son Street for commercial vehicles to northbound vehicles only, be
and the same is hereby repealed.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after its passage and approva .
