AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING, AMENDING
AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
INCORPORATED INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880, BY REZONING CERTAIN
SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED LAND FROM A DISTRICT "A-2" SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENCE CLASSIFICATION TO DISTRICT "C" MULTIPLE FAMILY
CLASSIFICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission, after
hearing, study and consideration, recommmended to the City Council
that the land hereinafter described should be rezoned from District
"A-2" Single Family Residence Classification to District "C"
Aw Multiple Dwelling Classification; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
by and through its City Clerk has caused a notice of hearing for
the purpose of rezoning to be published three consecutive days in a
newspaper of general circulation within the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, the last day of publication having been more than fifteen
days preceding the date of the hearing by the City Council, wherein
such notice of rezoning all interested parties were requested to
appear before the City Council at the time and place specified
therein for the purpose of attending a public hearing and express-
ing their views in support of or in opposition to the recommenda-
tion of the Planning and Zoning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
on this 4th day of November, 1968, has conducted said hearing and
heard the views of all persons expressing an interest in the
rezoning of the land hereinafter described.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The zoning map of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
as incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880 of the city, as amended,
is hereby changed, amended and modified to reflect the rezoning of
the following described land from "A-2" Single Family Residence
District to "C" Multiple Dwelling District, and the following
described land is, and it is hereby accordingly, rezoned:
A tract of land bounded on the North by the Rex M.
Whitton Expressway; on the South by East Elm Street;
on the East by a line parallel to and lying westerly
313.14 feet from Lafayette Street; and on the West by
a line parallel to and lying easterly 281.0 feet from
Jackson Street.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
