AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REGULATING THE
OPERATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE ROADWAYS OF THE CITY, PROVIDING
A PENALTY, AND REPEALING SECTION 7.220 (c) OF ARTICLE VII OF
ORDINANCE NO. 8025.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Truck Traffic Prohibited. The driver of any truck
or tractor licensed by the State of Missouri for a gross weight in
excess of 12,000 pounds shall not drive the same at any point on
High Street between its intersections with Broadway Street and
Adams Street, at any time between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and
5:30 P.M. , except when authorized by a Police Department Permit.
Section 2. Penalty. Any person violating any of the provi-
sions of Section 1 hereof shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,
and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than $100.00 or
be imprisoned not more than 90 days, or incur both such fine and
imprisonment.
Section 3. Repeal Clause. Section 7.220 (c) of Article VII
of Ordinance No. 8025, relating to the operation of trucks and
truck-tractors on High Street be, and it is hereby, repealed.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
