AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 7978 KNOWN AS THE SUBDIVISION CODE OF THE 6ITY OF JEFFERSON
c MISSOURI, BY REPEALING SECTION 9«8 RELATING TO UTILITY EASEMENTS,
AND ENACTING A NEW PROVISION RELATING TO THE SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Repeal Clause. Section 9.8 of Ordinance No. 7978
of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, known as the Subdivision Code
of the City, relating to the width of utility easements on subdivi-
sion plats be, and the same is hereby, repealed.
Section 2. Utility Easements. There is hereby enacted a new
provision, to be known as Section 9.8 of Ordinance Number 7978 of
the City of Jefferson, Missouri, which shall read in words and
figures as follows:
"9.8. A utility easement shall be located at the rear
end of each lot. The width of utility easements shall
be determined by the Director of Public Works but in no
event shall it be less than ten (10) feet."
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
