AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING, AMENDING
AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
INCORPORATED INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880, BY REZONING CERTAIN
SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED LAND FROM A DISTRICT "B" TWO FAMILY
RESIDENCE CLASSIFICATION TO DISTRICT "E" LOCAL COMMERCIAL
CLASSIFICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission, after
hearing, study and consideration, recommended to the City Council
that the land hereinafter described should be rezoned from District
"B" Two Family Residence Classification to District "E" Local
Commercial Classification; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
by and through its City Clerk has caused a notice of hearing for
the purpose of rezoning to be published three consecutive days in
a newspaper of general circulation within the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, the last day of publication having been more than fifteen
days preceding the date of the hearing by the City Council, wherein
such notice of rezoning all interested parties were requested to
appear before the City Council at the time and place specified
therein for the purpose of attending a public hearing and express-
ing their views in support of or in opposition to the recommenda-
tion of the Planning and Zoning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
on the 18th day of November, 1968, conducted said hearing and heard
the views of all persons expressing an interest in the rezoning of
the land hereinafter described.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The zoning map of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
as incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880 of the city, as amended,
is hereby changed, amended and modified to reflect the rezoning of
the following described land from District "B" Two Family Residence
® to District "E" Local Commercial, and the following described land
is, and it is hereby accordingly, rezoned:

"Part of Outlot No. 77, in the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, more particularly described as follows:
"From the northwesterly corner of said Outlot
No. 77; thence easterly along the northerly line
thereof, 65 feet, more or less, to the easterly
line of U.S.Highway No. 54 or Madison Street;
thence southerly along the easterly line of said
Highway or Madison Street, 45 feet, to the begin-
ning point of this description; thence continuing
southerly along the easterly line of U.S.Highway
No. 54 or Madison Street, 406 feet 6 inches, more
or less, to the northerly line of a tract conveyed
to the City of Jefferson, by deed of record in
Book 69, Page 315, Cole County Recorder.'s Office;
thence easterly parallel with the northerly line
of said Outlot, 176 feet 2 inches; thence northerly
parallel with the westerly line, 6 inches; thence
easterly parallel with the northerly line of said
Outlot, 37 feet 2 inches; thence northerly parallel
with the westerly line of said Outlot, 406 feet, to
a point 45 feet southerly from the northerly line
of said Outlot; thence westerly parallel with the
northerly line of said Outlot, 213 feet, more or
less, 'to the beginning point of this description."
Section 2. This ordinance shall- take- effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
