ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CHANGING, AMENDING
AND MODIFYING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
INCORPORATED INTO ORDINANCE NUMBER 5880, BY REZONING CERTAIN
SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED LAND FROM A DISTRICT "A-1" SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENCE CLASSIFICATION TO DISTRICT "E" LOCAL COMMERCIAL
CLASSIFICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission, after
hearing, study and consideration, recommended to the City Council
that the land hereinafter described should be rezoned fromDistrict
"A-1" Single Family Residence Classification to District "E" Local
Commercial Classification; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
by and through its City Clerk, has caused a notice of hearing for
the purpose of rezoning to be published three consecutive days in
a newspaper of general circulation within the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, the last day of publication having been more than
fifteen days preceding the date of the hearing by the City Council,
wherein such notice of rezoning all interested parties were
requested to appear before the City Council at the time and place
specified therein for the purpose of attending a public hearing
and expressing their views in support of or in opposition to the
® recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
on the 18th day of November, 1968, conducted said hearing and heard
the views of all persons expressing an interest in the rezoning of
the land hereinafter described.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The zoning map of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
as incorporated into Ordinance Number 5880 of the city, as amended,
is hereby changed, amended and modified to reflect the rezoning of
the following described land from "A-1" Single Family Residence
District to "E" Local Commercial District, and the following
described land is, and it is hereby accordingly, rezoned;

"A strip of land of an even depth of 150 feet
(measured from the centerline of Sunset Lake Road in
a southwesterly direction) extending along the north-
easterly part of Sunset Lake Road that lies between
Cole County Route "C" and the centerline of that part
of Sunset Lake Road extending in an easterly-westerly
direction over the Sunset Lake Dam."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
