AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL TAX BILL AGAINST THE
LOTS OR TRACTS OF LAND FRONTING OR ABUTTING ON THE ROADWAY OF
AURORA STREET FROM THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION OF AURORA
STREET AND TANNER BRIDGE ROAD EASTERLY 1267 FEET FOR THE IM-
PROVEMENT OF THE SAID ROADWAY BY GRADING, CURBING AND GUTTERING
AND PAVING WITH ASPHALTIC CONCRETE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby levied and assessed at the rate
and cost price per front foot as specified in Section 2 of this
Ordinance, against the aggregate lots or tracts of land fronting
or abutting on the roadway of Aurora Street from the center of
the intersection of Aurora Street and Tanner Bridge Road easterly
1267 feet for the improvement of the roadway of Aurora Street,
aforesaid, the sum of $26,565.15 as the total costs of the
improvement of said street and the number of front feet fronting
or abutting said roadway of said Aurora Street, aforesaid, from
the center of the intersection of Aurora Street and Tanner Bridge
Road easterly 1267 feet, amount to 2511.78 running feet; the
cost price per running foot is $10.576224.
SECTION 2. For the purpose of paying said improvement of
said roadway of Aurora Street from the center of the intersection
of Aurora Street and Tanner Bridge Road easterly 1267 feet, there
is hereby levied and assessed the sum of $10.576224 as a special
tax against each front foot of ground fronting or abutting said
roadway of Aurora Street, and contained in such lot or piece of
ground fronting or abutting said improved roadway of said Aurora
Street.
SECTION 3. The name of each property owner or owners and the
description of each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting
on each side of Aurora Street and the number of front feet owned
by each owner or owners and contained in the lots or tracts of
land so owned and abutting said block or street and the cost
price per front foot for said improvement and the amount hereby
levied and assessed as a special tax for said improvement against
each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting said Aurora
Street from the center of the intersection of Aurora Street and
Tanner Bridge Road easterly 1267 feet, is listed as follows:

SECTION a. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to make
out special tax bills in favor of the contractor, Jefferson
Asphalt Company, for the within mentioned work in accordance
with the ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, relative
to said kind of work and in accordance with the Charter of said
City in regard to said work.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
