N ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND DIS-
ONTINUING PART OF ATCHISON STREET IN SAID CITY, AS A PUBLIC ,
THOROUGHFARE, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND THE CLERK
F THE CITY TO EXECUTE ALL WRITTEN INSTRUMENTS REQUIRED TO CONFIRM
IN THE OWNERS OF THE ADJACENT LAND THEIR REVERSIONARY RIGHTS IN THE
VACATED RIGHT OF WAY.
WHEREAS, it has been shown to the City Council of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, that an owner of land adjacent to and abutting
pon part of Atchison Street in the City has petitioned the City
'Council to vacate a part of the right of way of Atchison Street as
public thoroughfare; and
® WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not inconven-
ience the public or the citizens of the city to discontinue as a
right of way for a public thoroughfare and vacate a part of
tchison Street as described in Section 1 of this ordinance, NOW
THEREFORE:
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
ISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, hereby declares it necessary, reasonable and proper to
discontinue as a right of way for a public thoroughfare and forever
vacate the following described portion of Atchison Street in said
City:
"That part of Atchison Street extending from the east
line of Monroe Street to the west line of Adams Street
in the City of Jefferson, Missouri."
Section 2. The statutory right of reversion in the owners of
the abutting property to the right of way of Atchison Street above
escribed, as provided by the laws of the State of Missouri, is
ereby expressly confirmed, and the Mayor and Clerk of the city are
ereby authorized and directed to execute all written instruments
squired to confirm in the abutting property owners their
eversionary rights in the land hereinabove described and hereby

Section 3. ' This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
