JAN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REGUI,ATING THE
(PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE ROADWAYS OF THE CITY, PRESCRIBING
,A PRESUMPTION, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF.
�jBE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
;MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
+� Section 1. Parking Vehicles Prohibited. The driver of a
motor vehicle shall not park it, for longer than two (2) hours,
between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 7:OOP.M. , on any day except
Sunday or a legal holiday, at any point on the north half of
McCarty Street, between Adams Street and Jackson Street.
Aw Section 2. Presumption to Apply. In any prosecution for a
11violation of any provision of Section 1 hereof, proof that the
vehicle described in the complaint was parked in violation of any
of the provisions of Section 1, together with proof that the defen-

Idant named in the complaint was at the tine of such parking the
J�owner of the vehicle, shall constitute in evidence a prima facie
Ill presumption that the owner of the vehicle was the person who parked
i
the vehicle at the point where, and at the time during which, such
i
violation occurred.
1 Section 3. Penalty. Any person violating any of the proviw
i
Isions of Section 1 hereof shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,
land upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than one
Ijhundred ($100.00) dollars or be imprisoned not more than ninety
(90) days or incur both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
