THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS
ORDINANCE NO. 391
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSI-
FICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN
THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE,
KANSAS AND AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF
THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS.
WHEREAS, application was made for a zone change for property located within the
corporate limits of the City of Bel Aire, Kansas, as described herein.
WHEREAS, notice of a May 8, 2003 Bel Aire Planning Commission public hearing
on said application was published in the official city newspaper on April 10, 2003 and
mailed on April 9, 2003 to all owners of record of lands, within the corporate limits of the
City of Bel Aire, located within 200 feet of the proposed zoning change and, outside the
corporate limits of the City of Bel Aire, located within 1000 feet of the proposed zoning
change.
WHEREAS, the Bel Aire Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on said
application on May 8, 2003 and thereafter, based upon the public hearing and a discussion
of the factors to consider in rezoning, voted to approve said zone change.
WHEREAS, no protest petition has been filed with the Bel Aire City Clerk.
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City of Bel Aire, Kansas hereby finds and
determines that said zone change should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE
CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS:

Section 1. 70nA ChrmgA
The official zoning classification of the property hereinafter described is hereby
changed from the zoning classification of "R-1" Single Family Residential to the zoning
classification of "B-1" General Business District. Said property is legally described as
follows:
A tract of land legally described as the North 10 acres of the
West 20 acres of the North half of the Northwest Quarter of
Section 20, Township 26 South, Range 2 East of the 6th P.M.,
Sedgwick County, Kansas.
Section 2. 70ning Mrlr AmAndmen.t
The official zoning map of the city of Bel Aire, Kansas is hereby amended in
accordance with Section 1 of this ordinance.
Section 3. EffAr.tivA [')rltA
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the
official city newspaper.
