iAN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REGULATING THE
11PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE ROADWAYS OF THE CITY, PRESCRIBING
!,A PRESUMPTION, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF.
CBE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON !
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

I' Section 1. Parking Vehicles Prohibited. The operator of a
(motor vehicle shall not park the same at any point in the public
jalley extending in an easterly-westerly direction, between Mulberry,
I
iStreet and Walnut Street, and lying between and parallel with
I
flDunklin Street and West Elm Street.

I' Section 2. Presumption to Apply. In any prosecution for a
;violation of any provision of Section 1 hereof, proof that the
i
!vehicle described in the complaint was parked in violation of any
�iof the provisions of Section 1, together with proof that the defen-
idant named in t laint was a he he comp t time ime of such parking the
;owner of the vehicle, shall constitute in evidence a prima facie
,'presumption that the owner of the vehicle was the person who parked
ii I
,the vehicle at the point where, and at the time during which, such i
1
t;violation occurred.
Section 3. Penalty. Any person violating any of the provi-
11sions of Section 1 hereof shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,
( and upon conviction thereof shall be fined a
� p ned not more than $100,00 or
(;be imprisoned not more than 90 days or incur both such fine and

imprisonment.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take t

I1effect and be in force. from and after its passage and approval.
