ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND THE CLERK TO EXECUTE A MAINTENANCE AGREE-
MENT WITH THE STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF THE
VETTER'S LANE CONNECTION TO ROUTE 50.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF :JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and Clerk of the City are hereby
authorized and directed to execute a written maintenance agreement
with the State Highway Commission.
Section 2. Said written agreement shall read in words and
figures as follows:
(See Attached)
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force.
from and after its passage and approval.

MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into by and between I
the State Highway Commission of Missouri, hereinafter called
"Commission" and the City of Jefferson, Missouri, a municipal
corporation, hereinafter called "City",
WITNESSETH: f
In connection with improvements by Commission on I
Route 50, Cole County, Missouri, under Project U-1 (10) , Com-
mission acquired the necessary right-of-way for and reconstructed
.a connection of Vetters Lane with said Route 50.
Now in consideration of the mutual covenants herein
contained, to be faithfully kept and performed by the parties
hereto, it is agreed:
1. Commission hereby relinquishes to City control
and maintenance of the connection of Vetters Lane with Route 50,
Cole County between the right-of-way of said Route 50 and East
Miller Street' within City, the same being particularly located
between Station 0+97 and Station 2+37, all as shown on sketches
marked Exhibit A and Exhibit B, attached and made a part hereof.

2. City hereby accepts control and maintenance of
said Vetters Lane connection and will hereafter keep, control
and maintain the same at City' s cost and expense, and at no cost
or expense to Commission on this account, as and for all purposes
a part of the City street system.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused
this instrument to be executed by their proper officials, and
*the City executes the same pursuant to the authority granted
