AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND DIS- CONTINUING PART OF HIGH STREET IN SAID CITY, AS A PUBLIC THOROUGH i! FARE, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND THE CLERK OF THE j{ CITY TO EXECUTE ALL WRITTEN INSTRUMENTS REQUIRED TO CONFIRM IN THE OWNERS OF THE ADJACENT LAND THEIR REVERSIONARY RIGHTS IN THE VACATED RIGHT OF WAY. ,i - WHEREAS, it has been shown to the City Council of the City oft t jJ Jefferson, Missouri, that an owner of land adjacent to and abutting upon part of High Street in the City has petitioned the City Council to vacate a part of the right of way of High Street as a Ipublic thoroughfare; and 'i WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not inconven (' ience the public or the citizens of the city to discontinue as a i I� right of way for a public thoroughfare and vacate a part of High �i Street as described in Section 1 of this Ordinance, NOW, THEREFORE i BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, I! �I MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: ii I! Section 1. The City Council of the City of Jefferson, Mo. , hereby declares it necessary, reasonable and proper to discontinue ; I i I� as a right of way for a public thoroughfare and forever vacate i 4 � i �j the following described portion of High Street in said City: II jl "All that part of High Street lying between the southerly line of McCarty Street and the easterly line of Outlot 73. " , i Section 2. The statutory right of reversion in the owners of the abutting property to the right of way of High Street above iidescribed, as provided by the laws of the State of Missouri, is hereby expressly confirmed, and the Mayor and Clerk of the City ar hereby authorized and directed to execute all written instruments Ijrequired to confirm in the abutting property owners their j! reversionary rights in the land hereinabove described and hereby j `I vacated. i j li r } 7 Section 3.
