OFFICE OF POLICE COURT BAILIFF, PRESCRIBING THE METHOD OF APPOINT-
' IMENT, QUALIFICATIONS, TERMS AND DUTIES OF OFFICE.
+BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS
Section 1. Police Court Bailiff. The position of Police

Court Bailiff for the Police Court of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, is hereby established.
Section 2. Appointment and Term. The Police Court Bailiff
ishall be appointed by the Mayor, with the consent of a majority of
the elected members of the City Council. He shall hold his office
at the pleasure of the Mayor or until removed by the City Council,
in accordance with the ordinances of the City.
Section 3. Qualifications. The Police Court Bailiff shall be
resident of the City, at least twenty-one years of age, and of
sober, reliable and industrious character, and he shall be
physically able to perform the duties of the office.
Section 4. Duties , The Police Court Bailiff shall be under
1he direction and supervision of the Police Court Judge and shall
attend all sessions of the Police Court and ensure that order and
ecoruir are maintained while Court is in session, and perform such
Dther duties as the Police Court Judge may order consistent with
is office.
Section 5. Compensation. The rate of compensation for the
olice Court Bailiff shall be seventy-five ($75.00) dollars per
onth.
Section 6. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect
