!AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REGULATING THE
! PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE ROADWAYS OF THE CITY, PRESCRIBING
A PRESUMPTION, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.

�j Section 1. Loading Zone, Location of. The described area on

Iithe following named roadway is a loading zone between the hours of

18:00 o'clock A.M. and 5:00 o'clock P.M. , every day except Sunday:
` The north half of Dunklin Street between the points
' I located 104 feet and 122 feet west of the west curb
line of Madison Street.
Section 2 . Parking Prohibited. The driver of a vehicle shat
not park it in the loading zone established in the preceding sec-
tion, except that commercial vehicles and trucks may be parked in i
ithe loading zone for fifteen (15) minutes or less while loading or

lun7oading goods , wares , merchandise or materials at business places
" in the area.
I� Section 3. ..Pg Y Presumption to a 1 . In any prosecution for a

Iviolation of any provision of Section 2 of this ordinance, proof

ithat the vehicle described in the complaint was parked in violation
l; of any provision of Section 2 hereof, together with proof that the
! defendant named in the complaint was at the time of such parking
I
the owner of the vehicle, shall constitute in evidence a prima
facie presumption that the owner of the vehicle was the person who
parked the vehicle at the point where, and at the time during
1which, such violation occurred.
Section 4. Penalty. Any person violating the terms of
( Section 2 of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeano
and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than one hundr d
($100.00) dollars or be imprisoned not more than ninety (90) days, `
or incur both such fine and imprisonment. f
Section 5. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effec�,
