SAN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON MISSOURI REGULATING THE
(PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE ROADWAYS OF THE CITY, PRESCRIBING i
i:A PRESUMPTION, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. }
GIBE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON)
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Loading zone, Location of. The described area on
ti the following named roadway is a loading zone, between the hours of
I,. 8:00 o'clock A.M. and 5:00 o'clock P.M. , every day except Sunday:
I The west half of Jefferson Street between the points
i located 60 feet and 78 feet north of the north curb
line of Dunklin Street.
} Section 2. Parking Prohibited. The driver of a vehicle
shall not park it in the loading zone established in the preceding
! section, except that commercial vehicles and trucks may be parked
din the loading zone for fifteen (15) minutes or less while loading
or unloading goods, wares, merchandise or materials at business
,places in the area.

i Section 3. Presumption to apply. In any prosecution for a
r
;violation of any provision of Section 2 of this ordinance, proof
I
' that the vehicle described in the complaint was parked in violation
!I
of any provision of Section 2 hereof, together with proof that the
}I i
'defendant named in the complaint was at the time of such parking
I{ the owner of the vehicle, shall constitute in evidence a prima
{l facie presumption that the owner of the vehicle was the person who
!(parked the vehicle at the point where, and at the time during;

! which, such violation occurred.

Section 4. Penalty. Any person violating the terms of
i 1}Section 2 of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misde-- j
meanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than one(j
i
hundred ($100.00) dollars or be imprisoned not more than ninety i
r
1 (90) days, or incur both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 5. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect,
