N ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF CITY TAXES AND
STABLISHING THE RATE OF TAXATION FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
ISSO URI, FOR THE YEAR, 1969-1970.
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
ISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ECTION 1 . There is hereby levied and assessed the following rate on all
eal Estate and Personal Property within the limits of the City of Jefferson,
issouri, not exempt from taxation by the Constituion or the laws of the State
f Missouri, as shown by the assessment book of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
or the year 1969-1970, and on all Merchants and Manufacturers statements,
ade as provided by law:
IRST - For the purpose of paying all current expenses of the City of Jefferson,
issouri, for the fiscal year, the sum of $ 0, 95 cents on the one hundre
ollar valuation.
SECOND - For the purpose of paying interest on the outstanding bonds of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, and for the purpose of creating a sinking fund to
retire the outstanding bonds of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of
0. 38 cents on the one hundred dollar valuation.
HIRD - For the purpose of establishing and maintaining a Free Public Library

n the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of $0. 40 cents on the one
undred dollar valuation.
FOURTH - For the purpose of establishing and mainting Free Public Parks in
he City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of $ 0. 20 cents on the one
undred dollar valuation. —'
IFTH - For the purpose of creating a Firemen's Retirement System for
iremen in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of $ 0. 07 cents on the
one hundred dollar valuation.

SECTION 2. It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to cause to be extended in the
ppropriate columns opposite each item of taxable property on the assessment
ooks as returned by the Assessor of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and
orrected by the County Board of Equalization, the amount of taxes to be paid
y each person as provided by Section One of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage and approval.
