ORDINANCE NO. 9,p1:2
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACTS FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICE
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SEWERS AND ROADWAYS OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter
into contracts with professional engineers and land surveyors for
services to be performed in the design and construction of sewers
and roadways of the City of Jeffersm.
Section 2. No contract shall be for longer than one
(1) year. .
Section 3 . The maximum rates for services and material
that shall be contracted for shall be:
2 man survey crew - - - - - $ 13.00 per hour
3 man survey crew - - - - - $ 15.00 per hour
4 man survey crew - - - - - $ 23.00 per hour
Designer - - - - - - - - - $ 10.00 per hoar
Draftsman - - - - - - - - $ 3.50 per hour
Mileage - - - - - - - - - $ .10 per mile
Materials - - - - - - - •• Costs plus 5%
Section 4. The Director of Public Works shall supervis
the performance of all work contracted for and shall certify that
said contract has been performed before any payment is made to any
person or firm contracting with the City under this ordinance.
Section 5. The Mayor shall not enter into any contract,
nor shall any payment be made on any contract provided for under
this ordinance, if the sum of all payments on all contracts under
this ordinance exceeds the amount budgeted for said services,
which is $12,330.00 for the period November 1, 1959, to May 1,
1970.

Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
