AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CLERK OF THE CITY TO EXECUTE A GAS PIPE LINE EASEMENT
IN FAVOR OF THE MISSOURI POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. The Mayor and Clerk of the City are hereby
authorized, for and in behalf of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
to execute a written gas pipe line easement in favor of the
Missouri Power and Light Company, as grantee.
Section 2. Said gas pipe line easement shall. read in
words and figures as follows:
(See Easement attached) .
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect- and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.

Grantor_herein, do 08 hereby grant, convey and warrant unto the MISSOURI POWER &
LIGHT COMPANY, Grantee herein, its successors, assigns and lessees, the perpetual right
and easement under varying conditions of operation to construct, reconstruct, operate,
patrol and maintain, renew and remove, a pipe line or lines complete with fittings, valves
and other equipment appurtenant thereto, for the transportation and distribution otjy in,
under, along, through and across certain lands owned by Grantor , situated in
County, State of.Missouri., and described as follows:

together with the right under varying conditions of operation to alter, remove, reconstruct
relocate or improve in Grantee's reasonable discretion and at Grantee's sole expense, any or
all natural or artificial obstacles in, under and upon such lands as may interfere with the
safe, prover and expeditious construction, reconstruction, operation, maintenance, renewal or
removal of said pipe line, or lines, or any part thereof without further payment therefore
except so hereinafter provided.
Grantee shall have the right in ingress to and egress from said lands of Grantor for
all purposes in connection with the exercise of the rights of the easement herein granted.
rantee shall repair any damage to the property of Grantor_ or pay for "any damages
whir, may be caused to the property of Grantor by the Grantee in connection with the
exercise of the rights of this easement; said damages if not mutually agreed upon, shall be
ascertained by three disinterested persons, one of whom shall be selected by Grantor , one
by Grantee, their heirs, successors, administrators, assigns or lessees, and the third by
the two so selected, and the amount of damages determined by such persons, or a majority of
them shall be conclusive and binding upon the parties hereto. 2 1/2
Such pipe line, or lines, shall be laid at a minimum depth of feet below the
surface of said land and Grantor reserves the right to use and enjoy said lands subject
to the uses and purposes herein granted to Grantee.
This instrument is executed and accepted with the express understanding that the
Grantee herein is not bound to do or perform any act, or pay any consideration except as
herein expressly provided.
This grant shall be binding upon the heirs, successors, administrators and assigns
of the undersigned.
