AN DINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL TAX AGAINST EACH LOT OR PIECE OF GROUND LYING BETWEEN AND SITUATE WITHIN THE BOUNDS OF SEWER DISTRICT NO. 114 IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, IN THE NAME OF THE OWNER OR OWNERS THEREOF FOR CONSTRUCTING AND COMPLETING SEWERS THEREIN. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. It appearing from the written report of the Director of Public Works, the officer in charge of the work of construction and completing sewers in Sewer District No. 114 in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, heretofore submitted by id officer to the City Council and approved and .filed by it on this day of November, 1969, at a regular meeting of the City Council held on this date, that the total cost of ca ruction and completing of said sewer as constructed amounts to the sum of $17,714.38, and it further appearing that said report of said officer did apportion said costs against the several lots or pieces of ground in said Sewer District No. 114, exclusive of streets in proportion to the area of the whole of said District No. 114 exclusive of the public highways, and it further appearing that the total number of square feet contained in the aggregate number of lots and pieces of ground situated in the said Sewer District No. 114, exclusive of the public highways therein, amounts to 441,390 square feet. And it further appearing from the Said report that on proper apportionment of said costs such lots or pieces of ground in said Sewer District No. 114, so situated, each square foot of ground contained in said lots or pieces of ground in said Sewer District No. 114 is chargeable with the sum of $;04013317 per square foot. Now, therefore, for the purpose of paying for the work of construction and completion of sewers in said Sewer District No. 114 together with all necessary .laterals, inlets, catch basins, manholes, and other necessary appurtenances thereto appertaining, there is hereby levied and assessed against the several and hereinafter described lots or pieces of ground within the bounds of said Sewer District No. 114, situated in the name of the respective name of the owner or owners of said lots or pieces of ground, for a special tax at the rate of $°04013317 per square foot for each and every square foot of ground so situated as aforesaid. SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to proceed at once to make out special tax bills under the seal of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, of the aforesaid amounts against said lots or pieces of land e aforesaid Sewer District No. 114 situated, mentioned and described in a heretofore mentioned sections of this Ordinance in the name of the owner ,or owners thereof, which said special and certified tax bills shall be signed by the Mayor and attested and recorded by the City Clerk and delivered to the Southern Landscaping Co. , Inc. , the Contractor of the work of construction of the aforesaid sewers as provided and required by the Charter of the City of Jefferson and the Ordinances authorizing and ordering the construction of sewers in said Sewer District No. 114, heretofore passed and approved by the Council. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
