AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND DISCONTINUING FOR PUBLIC USE CERTAIN LAND IN THE CITY FOR STREET PURPOSES, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND THE CLERK OF THE CITY TO EXECUTE ALL INSTRUMENTS REQUIRED TO CONFIRM IN THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS THEIR REVERSIONARY RIGHTS IN THE VACATED RIGHT OF WAY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, hereby declares that it is necessary and in the public interest that the following land be discontinued for public use as street right of way, subject to an easement reserved for all existing utilities : Commencing on the easterly line of Beck Street 160 feet northerly of the intersection of said easterly line of Beck Street and Old Highway 50 West; running thence easterly 271. 65 feet, more or less , to the westerly line of Conrad Street; thence northerly along the westerly line of Conrad Street, 20 feet; thence westerly parallel with said southerly line 271.65 feet, more or less , to the easterly line of Beck Street; thence southerly along said easterly line of Beck Street 20 feet to the point of beginning. Section 2 . It is hereby declared that the street right of P way described hereinbefore be, and it is hereby, vacated and forever discontinued as a right of way for street purposes, subject , to an easement reserved for all existing utilities . Section 3 . The statutory right of reversion in the owners of the abutting property in said vacated right of way, as is provided by the Laws of Missouri, is hereby fully confirmed and the Mayor and the Clerk of the City are hereby directed to execute any instrument, for and in behalf of the City, that may be required by law to confirm in the abutting property owners , their right of reversion in the right of way hereinabove vacated.
